We arrived
at PICRC with our experimental tank design in hand and some materials already
acquired to get started setting up.
 |
Getting the framework of the experimental design set up in our wet lab space. |
Though as
in any project that involves working in the field, we hit a few road bumps
along the way but after a dozen + trips to the hardware store (just ask Dusty,
Robin, Todd or Tim) and a few days, we got everything set up!
 |
Dusty and Tim figuring out the plumbing as we await the arrival of Robin, the expert aquaria plumber! |
 |
The plumbing is almost finished. |
 |
Hannah building frames to hang the lights above the tanks. |
 |
Frames are in and the plumbing is all done! |
 |
Lights are up and now just need to be wired. |
The tanks
are now ready for some coral fragments and to start ramping up the temperature
so we can determine the impact of heat stress on coral biometrics of different coral
species and genotypes!
 |
Tanks are ready for some coral! |
